Re: RT 225 gearing

4.7 will be good. I tested that on mine initially and it was great fun on the back roads but ran out of legs at about 65mph on the motorway.

I have a 110x60 crank, LTH reed a BGM pipe and 30 PHBH carb

Re: Stopping panels falling off

Jumping off panels can also be attributed to the frame loop. Some of the scooter importers have a nasty habit of transporting the Lambrettas standing up on their rear number plates to get more of them in their van. This can shorten the frame loop a bit and makes the panels fly off for fun. A scissor...

Port timings IN 128 TX 132 EX 175. transfer ports seem very high? Alternatively, If I set the piston level with the ports at BDC I need to use head gaskets ...

BGM clubman vs AF twin pipe 48 bore.

On my GT200 kit I've got an AF 48 twin pipe big bore fitted, it goes along quite nicely but its quite noisy. But I have spare a BGM clubman. Is it worth the chore of swapping the pipes, will I see any massive performance gain? Obviously I will have the hassle of possible re jetting etc. Currently it...

Re: Snake Head Carb tops

I couldn't do that as the standard top fouled the tank etc and couldn't get a nice smooth run on the cable or the carb at a decent angle. I have convinced myself it's teflon and pistons are coated in it so it's not a massive issue. All the other snake heads I've seen are nice smooth plastic. Mines q...
