I've used timeserts and heli-coils. Timeserts are definitely stronger. But why drill out perfectly good threads? If they go then do them.
It is easy to bugger up a heli-coil by not paying attention in your drilling so be careful.

Re: Dodgy steering bearings.
I fitted the bearing loose and the difference in feel is significant. Bit of a pain to do but worth the effort imho.

Re: Avanti TT3 Ci
Had a chance to try this on Monday and its a totally different ride to your average tuned Lammie. No discernible power band, just a smooth delivery of power right through the range. Wants to go straight away and keeps delivering so the progressive nature makes it very rideable. Considering its a pro...

Re: Best rear hub studs......
I've had two 'go' which I can only put down to over enthusiastic tightening of the wheel nuts though it seems strange to have two go in quick succession. Re: Best rear hub studs......
Now there's good advice Corrado. The expensive MB ones are made from 'high tensile steel' so presumably I only have to be the normal amount of care in doing them up?

How to reduce vibration.....
I'm looking for all the possible ways of reducing vibration on my Lammie. I'm sure there's loads of things you can do which would all together make a huge difference. Comment people? Thanks.

Re: Fooked Rimini 5 speed.
Not commenting on this particular situation but I don't know why any dealer would want to fit one of these boxes particularly in an engine putting out significant bhp. There's not enough margin for the dealer to warrant his fitting and so much seems down to the alignment set up during the fitting pr...
