Re: Tank cleaning.
Frosts do an engine degreaser which should do the trick or if you need something more heavy duty they do a tank strip that is strong enough to remove old sealant

Re: Insurance question
It would be the insurance company, they would deem any repair costs of more than 60% of vehicle value to be uneconomical to repair. Currently you are valuing your GTS at £2500 and the repair cost is £2100, so that would automatically fall into the insurance write-off category. Ideally you need to be...

You can save money by doing all the prep yourself but most decent painters will insist on doing this if you want any warranty on ...

If written off I would advise to never accept 1st offer from the insurance company, they will go in low. You will need to provide evidence of why you think you should get more, i.e. for sale ads of same scooter in similar condition, etc. on the basis of it will cost you that much to replace. How can...

Re: Beedspeed.
Why would you even consider using Beedspeed when there are so many good suppliers to choose from? It's a good question, but a few times they appeared to be the only dealer with what I was looking for. Based on what I've now been hearing and reading, the claims of having certain items for sale may n...

Re: Daily touring mileage
I take what I think I need, 5 litres will cover approx 1,500 miles. Pain as it's a lot of weight but at least it gets lighter the further you travel

Re: Large petrol tank / toolbox
Oiltek do these, but be warned the toolbox in these are tiny, far better to go for one without the toolbox cutout and get a legshield toolbox
