Hi, Im about to have a 150 cylinder bored out for a 175 conversion piston. What clearance should i ask for, and what is your reference? Re: RE: Re: How I got a completely stuck mag housing off.
If you have access to a welder I'd be inclined to find some old 1/4 sockets and with a grinder clean off any chrome then weld the socket to the head of the screw and undo with an extension bar and socket wrench, doing it this way you have the added advantage of heating the screw up at the same time...

Re: RE: Re: How I got a completely stuck mag housing off.
Good luck with those retaining plate screws :? As you seem to have skill at predicting the future, can you pick my lottery numbers? I drilled out the peen and used a snap-on tools impact driver. One came off. The other 3 just started to deform. What to do? Heat and keep using the impact driver? Go ...

How I got a completely stuck mag housing off.
This is the 63 li150 I got for free. Some idiot left it outside for years. Soaked inside crank area with kroll oil 24 hrs. Crank is shot anyway. I cut the con rod off with a Dremel cut off wheel carefully. Then on the opposite side jammed a wedge in to make the crank evenly solid. The crank is now m...

Re: suggestions sought for Li150-3 restoration (carb/175/clubman)
Curious what jets your running if you have a 22 Dellorto on a 175 kit top end, remote foam filter and a after market exhaust. Just to provide me with a starting point. And are these jets interchangeable with the phbh 28/30 mm dellorto carbs? I have quite a few jets on hand for that already. Sent fro...

Searching on the forum on Jetex it does seem hit or miss. Guessing that's the lack of quality control. I'll order a scootopia

suggestions sought for Li150-3 restoration (carb/175/clubman)
Hey, I got a free 1963 Li150 late last year. About 4000 original miles. Sadly it was in mint shape, acquired by a dildo who new nothing about it, left outside for years, and when I found out about it I heaped enough abuse on the dildo he just gave it to me. When I want to go fast I have an Eibar Jet...

Re: aerospace adhesive to bond part of a broken case?
Thanks for your replies. Its exactly what I was looking for. Yes, its the bit of metal that the oil seal sets up against, it is not load bearing. I've used JB Weld before, but was hoping someone else tried it and could speak to how it held up. I ended up going with a weld job, but next time will do ...

aerospace adhesive to bond part of a broken case?
I've got a cracked case where the fly wheel side bearing sits. It was punched in too far, broke a circular piece out. I know it can be welded, and you have to be careful to allow the stator to fit properly. But I'm wondering as this is not structural, that it really just holds the oil seal in place,...
