Re: jet 200 engine identification

The best way to identify a JET 200 engine is by the 6 digit number which is always in between 550001 and 567***. Lynx engines are also in the sequence 860*** or 880***. The other points mentioned in this post are applicable to age/year specific engines. Basically early JET engines are identical to I...

Re: Paint code for the metallic gold JET 200?

Sorry Rui, was meaning to update this! Got nowhere with Morrellis, as you mentioned the guy you dealt with has left and the people there didn't seem interested. In the end, I ran out of time and so had the paint specially mixed to suit an original sample that i have. So the JET is now all painted an...

Re: SPANISH TV200 ?!?

It was a tad unfortunate that it came out in the April issue of Scootering!! When we realised, Andy did point out that it was not an April fool's joke in the following issue...but i guess the damage was done. The Spanish built TV200 is real, but it is more an exercise in badge engineering! Sorry no ...

Re: SPANISH TV200 ?!?

Hi, The IOW Spanish built TV200 is mine and hopefully here is a photo of it (along side the gold JET 200 of Antony's from Buzz Solo Moto). http://www.totallyscooters.com/iow33r.JPG This one is one of 4 remaining examples that i know of. This is the one that was in Scootering magazine last year (Apri...

Re: Jet 200 frame

Hi Jaime, hope that you are well?

As Jaime says, JET's started 550001 and not 500001 (these are TV2's). An early 555XXX number would be UK registered 1975, however some later ones were registered in the UK as late as 1977. Hope this helps. Thanks Perry

Re: Paint code for the metallic gold JET 200?

Visibily different when you put them together. The Spanish gold is lighter sandier and with a hint of green in it.
In the end i have taken the plunge and had the original paint specially matched, just waiting to see how it turns out.

Re: Paint code for the metallic gold JET 200?

Thanks for the photo and link. i have tried searching for these gold JET's but like all things on the internet, it can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Will contact Frank and see if he has a paint code.

Paint code for the metallic gold JET 200?

Does anyone have a paint code for the 1967 eibar built JET 200 in metallic gold?

Have spoken to Rui and Antony (Buzz Solo) but they had the paint mixed specially, just wondered if anyone has a suitable paint code? It is the gold with the green hue in it..
Thanks Perry
