My hub failed in Spain as well on reflections nothing like that, ony one of the studs flanges snapped. Lookily I could hear a clicking from rear and found it. Back wheel was mas moving like a good one. Replaced hub etc and got me home. I think mine was old metal fatique it was the original Italian G...

but maybe, just maybe, I might get to join the over 80,s club. The question is, will my engine stay together for an hour reving at just over 7400 rpm. :? I reckon the seat makes a bigger impact on this than any engine mods, can your arse put up with those stresses for that time? :D Very true George...

Yep Ive seen the one in Steve Wrights racer very neat compact easy to get in and out, as Ive seen it being done with scoot on side. No springs flying out everywhere, comes out as a cartridge best way to discribe it. Plates ect are off the shelf surflex motorcycle parts, whole design was done I belie...

Ive had 2 go so far.

One fell to bits all the laminates came of the plate as rivots holding it together went.
It had done 4k and was one of the first batch.

The other from same batch, the pickup went.

But other then this not had any more probs.

9000 rpm and 125 mpg :mrgreen: the new holy grail. Things were so much simpler when a true 70 mph was the (rarely acheived) holy grail. Ill go along with that, We should start an official over 60's club ie A true over 60mph+ for 60 miles before stopping There's a few in our club who have joined. :D...
