Re: belstaff style jacket

I've been looking at the Belstaff Racemaster but they're rather expensive and offer no real protection. This caught my eye as a possible alternative ..... http://www.getgeared.co.uk/held-jacket-sixty6-6245-black Or there's always good old Frank Thomas is you can live with their awful yellow logo on ...

Re: FREE re-print of Scootering Magaizine......

Working in the printing industry I'm all for ink on paper, but it sounds as if the recent re-print may have been a re-scan of a printed copy rather that a re-print from the original repro? In 1997 film separations were still widely used and I'm guessing the original electronic DTP files have not bee...

Re: Scootering mag

I think a few more ideas would be welcome - it's lacking a bit of imagination at the moment. How about a short feature about your average scooterist: a rally goer, collector, racer, trader, tourer, modern, classic, custom. The world of scootering is so varied, that's what makes it so great. I belie...

Re: lth 64mm stroke crank

I can't answer your question about the LTH crank but you might want to have a chat to Harry Barlow (ProPorting) in Leicester first. He seems to be one of the go-to guys for cranks and builds them for some of the tuners & dealers that get mentioned on this forum. He's got his own long stroke moto...

Re: Various ways of avoiding cutting rear runner...

Mark 6 Mikeck from about 1987
Obviously not on a Series 2 here but no need to trim the rear runner on the GP
It always puzzles me why pipes are made where you need to modify the bodywork so they fit, can anyone explain that one?

Heading to Yorkshire

After being in a shed at the bottom of the garden since 2007 with the motor mainly in bits I'm finally getting my GP sorted with a little bit of help from Jason Frost at Absolutely Scooters. Who needs a van when you have an A6 Avant! http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u108/RobMcG_2007/Mobile%20Uploa...

Re: 116 rod gp crank

I would get in touch with Harry Barlow at ProPorting in Leicester if I were you - 0116 287 1285 He's supplying cranks to many of the dealers and tuning guys. I'm sure he'll be able to help with advice and the parts or complete crank too if you need it. He's a very nice fella and charges buttons in c...
