Unscrew the valve and blow to inflate. Screw valve in to seal the air in. As for pressure you will be surprised by how little you will need. A koso rpm signal filter could tidy up the performance. Have you tried wrapping the signal wire on the HT lead ? What's the reading like there? Resistor or non resistor spark plugs can make a difference as can the routing of the signal wire keep it away from the magneto. I've had issues with my tach...
