MB Reed Block for Piston Port.

Anybody recently fitted one of the above?
I'm thinking about fitting one soon, mainly to try and limit the amount of fuel being spat out, so I would be interested in getting some feed back regarding any improvements made.

Re: Ebay alloy cylinder kits

Hi Coaster,
The exhaust and inlet ports will be simple enough, but what did you use for the transfers.

Re: 200 kit fitted but have a few issues

The 3mm cut form the piston will not help at low revs, nor will the NK pipe. Its sounds like you have had a nit of a double whammy. If you have access to a standard pipe fit this and see if it helps to sort the low end problems. If so then a pipe change with more low end torque such as a Taffspeed, ...

Re: clutch

Try some MB springs, these are the only ones I use with no problems, do the job and are not super stiff so you hand goes numb after 10 mins.

Re: MB digital speedo

I screened the whole lenght , from the Speedo to the HT only leaving exposed the red copper wire that wraps around it.
This may seem a little bit belt and braces but it has so far worked for me.

Re: MB digital speedo

I also had the random speedo readings on my display, bouncing all over the place when the rpm's went up, but I have now found a way to solve it. I got some tinned copper earth braiding from RS Components, opened it up and simply threaded the entire length of the rev counter pick up wire down the ins...

Re: lambretta will not tick over

The only reason a scooter will not tick over is that the slide can not be held open enough by the adjustment screw.
My guess is they you may need to gently bend the tick over adjustment tab towards the screw to gain more leverage thus lifting the slide more.

Re: clutch corks---the differences

I have just fitted 5 LTH plate kit, I used my old 1.2mm steels to get some more separation rather than the 1.5mm items supplied, but as recommend I fitted the 1.5mm steel with the long tags first and bent them up 45°, and they are working perfect. They are made of a brown cork and are 2.5mm thick. ...

Re: Jetting help required

Yes mine is an OKO form ScootRs, so far I have no complaints as once it was sey up it ran perfectly. Like I said the only problem I had was the float bowl was emptying faster than it was filling when the throttle was wide open. This was solved by cutting down the little float bump stop at the bottom...

The details are: Float height set to 21mm Float stop cut down inside the bowl to prevent fuel starvation when wide open throttle. Pilot 40 genuine Keihin Air screw 1 turn out Main 128 BGM Neddle J...
