Has anyone fitted a bgm clubman to an Avanti barrel? was it much bother as I hear that some of the fins need to be 'modified' Yes I have , you need to take 10mm off 4 fins to accommodate the "hanging" bracket and a 5 mm slot for the main box seam . :D http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/ss...

That was one improvement of the BGM flywheel - the timimg marks are correct (although I still strobed it to be sure )

I've always had to extend the slots on indian or BGM stators in order to set the timimg at 17deg. I recently fitted a new BGM flywheel but still had to extend the slots on a new BGM DC stator to get 17 - I checked keyway position against other flywheels and it was in the same position :roll: I wonde...

^ yes it's LTH from a couple of years ago - I assume they have changed it to integral seals now but the rest should be current .
