Re: 60mm crank with 116mm long rod???????????

I use an IT 175 piston on me TS1 200 too. Crank is a BGM 60/115/16 but the barrel is lowered 1,5mm at the base. Using a 1mm base and 1mm head gasket gives a squish around 1,2 mm with a central spark mmw head.

You have to drill or rasp 4 holes for adapting it to a TS1. 10 minutes of work.

Re: TS1 reedvalve choices

I bought RD350/ Banshee reed blocks for small money. Advantage: You can choose between three types of Boyesen reeds (GFK, Dual Stage GFK and GFK/Carbon Fibre) or standart Yamaha reeds for less than 10 quid. disadvantage: maybe you have to run the block with a spacer which means excentric cones or di...

Re: old school "taffspeed style" ts1 yam set up

Mine is a Wiseco IT 175 Piston (right) running on a BGM Crank (60/ 115 RD 400 rod).
I guess it´s also possible to use an Blaster piston which is used for an RB20 (left) or DT 175 (middle) but you have to displace the rings pins.

Re: ts1 fuel %

2% Castrol TTS (or 2RS) with 98 octane fuel. Works well for the last 15 years (TS1 200/225 and 172 Malossi). Never had problems with the big end bearing.

Edit: 2 instead of 4% :?

Viking T5 - engine pictures added

After ten years riding a TS1 Lambretta I bought the T5 in 2005 on ebay. The previous owner stored it in a shed for years so I changed nearly everything, excepting the painted parts ;) Frame: Bitubo Shocks Semi-Hydraulic Front Disc Brake Analogue Speedo Engine: ported 172 Malossi kit, MMW CNC designe...
