Do you have the festoon bulb fitted in the speedo and is it working?
I once had the same problem and it ended up being the festoon bulb and it's wiring.
The festoon would short and the headlight would blow.
This was on 6V electrics.

Tillotson Avenger? http://i998.photobucket.com/albums/af110/sachafreeman1972/avenger_zpsb22a7378.jpg That looks just the Job. Are you engaged in making it run of a lambretta motor? I've acquired a crappy Indian 150 engine case and once I've built my TT3 I fancy playing around with one of these carbs.

Re: diaphragm carburettors
By diaphragm carburettor, do you mean one that does away with a float bowl and replaces it with a flow of fuel delivered by a diaphragm pump which is operated by pressure pulses within the crankcase? Such carbs are common on jet-skis. Those are the ones. Jazzy Did you run a reed valve on the motor ...

diaphragm carburettors
Do diaphragm carburettors only work with a reed valve
or will they work with just a pulse from the crank case no reed valve?
Just looking at weather one of these could cure clearance issues.

Re: Couple of Avanti TT3 questions
As with everything and anything to do with a Lambretta it may change, not fit or need fettling, if I was to win the pools
I'd splash out on a 5-speed box.
Late LI125 46 and 20 should give me a 4.23 final drive.

Re: New Avanti Clubman
I'm sure they will be worth the wait Ron. :bouncing:OAP wrote:"Any updates?"
Yes I think they have all got dementia, as they seem to have lost the concept of what a delivery date is and the fact of keeping to it.
That will be the day.

Hi
I've got two modifiable Spanish 150 cases to modify to 200cc
Who's tooling up to do this at the moment?
Thanks.
