Maybe saying burnt out is a bit harsh,the tape has stained brown on one side of this one and now reads a resistance of 150 instead of 500 ish,me thinks the varnish has melted causing a short or coil has broken down and yes I know the lighting and ignition are separate except for earths , Thanks for ...

low tension coil burn outs
Hi all,anybody had issues with low tension coils failing in under 100 miles,this is second in a couple of months ,the voltage regulator is not charging battery ,could this be the problem and over loading system

Thanks Gaz,all the searches are going on for T5 crankcases , as for salvageable the seal retainer has been punched out,probably by the flywheel side bearing being hammered in, not seen the actual casing yet so cant comment on welding ,but expect machining reqd after repair.

T5 cylinder on PX casing
Hi everyone ,just after info , friends T5 engine damaged beyond repair on flywheel side oil seal seating,needs crankcase change (mho), are there any downsides to rebuilding into PX125 crankcases? thanks in advance

just serviced a GT186 kitted scoot and checked cylinder bore coz of std head being used (now changed to porqupine head) after 2k miles it was well worn!customer was using 3% all the time !is this normal ??

as you have rebuilt your engine just recently ,check tighten everything especially cylinder head .

champion N4c is equivalent to NGK B6/7, try an NGK B7 for running around town and an NGK B8ES for fast running with that set up
