BGM regulator/rectifier looks the same scootrs rectifier

Hi just been looking at pics of BGM regulator and at my scootrs rectifier and they look the same.
I expect that the german one is better made!
What I'd like to know is can the other terminals on the scootrs one be used in the same way as the BGM one?
Cheers Dave

Re: fat back tyre

Didnt broady do something like this years ago? the engine had to be offset to keep the wheels on the centre line.
Some very nice parts on that engine :)
like the exhaust but its the crankcase induction that looks more interesting ..lol

Re: Late serveta steering lock

What you say confirms my thoughts, when it was dated as 1983 i was expectining it to be later. Thats why I'm on the look out for the big ugly headset because thats what i thought should be on it not the sx style that was around in '83.

Re: Late serveta steering lock

This is exactly the infomation I wanted :bigsm: my lock looks like the one in the orbar scooter with the key cover in the centre line of the leggies. Dont think my frame is as late as that though, according to pete davies he has dated it to 1985. Does the lock clamp the forks straight ahead or turne...

Re: Are my crankcase transfers overported????

Thanks for the feed back. This was the answer I was hoping for.
With it being an abandoned project I did fancy stripping it down to get the cases welded up.

Are my crankcase transfers overported????

I have got hold of a new indian crankcase and old ts1 barrel at a good price but now I've had time to study it properly I'm concerned that the case transfers are overported. The transfer on the mag side has been ported out till their is only 2mm of metal at its thinnest point. Is this ok???? It look...
