the only problem with colortune is it doesn't give readings while the engine is under load, but got to be a help anyway, do they read ok with 2 stroke mix?

was using the headset bare metal as earth, thought this would be decent enough.

started on ac , 36v , then he changed to dc on meter to just see what happened and got the same reading?

that's what i thought, but it is all new, any one else had a faulty variotronic regulator? which would be the best way to check,? i have a good voltmeter and some regulators from other lammys.....

i have been helping a mate with his lammy, mugello 220 , with variotronic, we now have it running ok and so turned our attention to the lighting with our trusty voltmeter at hand. variotronic was wired as per instructions and on checking voltage at head set we are getting 24v on tickover rising to 3...

no, he bought it built from a dealer in france, i recommended he talks with cam lam as they are mugello specialists and i have always had good service from them, and maybe buy a better carb from them also at the same time
