Re: Rapido Classic 200
Thanks for feed back so far. Yes, piston skirt was cut for reed valve. No additional porting had been done and no additional boost port either.

Rapido Classic 200
I've got the above top end kit with a LTH reedvalve that I had on a Servetta Series 80 200cc. At the time it ran with a 30PHBH and a PM tuning expansion exhaust. I really wasn't expecting too much and the reality, was lack lustre. But that may be down to wrong mix of pipe and carb and me not having ...

Samsung S8 holder for a Lambretta
Keep seeing plenty of holders for the above, such as the "Quad Lock" see link below, but all are for different type of handlebars than we have on a lambretta. I know they do one that clamps onto a mirror stem, but any functional mirrors that I have screwed into my handlebar hydraulic maste...

Re: New Scooter Options, please
A few of our club mates have got first time into the two wheel scootering thing with 125 Modenas, 6 in total. All impressed with price, reliability and they are not slow, 55mph and a bit more as standard.

Lambretta Rear brake cable route, carb on RHS
Last weeks Scootering mag had an article about routing the rear brake cable with the carb on the standard LHS; easy.
However, with tuned engines and a carb on the RHS, the route is messy, so has anyone sorted out a good route that doesn't spring your carb off or wrap around the spark plug cap.

Re: Belt Drive
If this is the Tino one that was in scootering some years back, wasn't the issue a lack of a cush drive that made gear changing harsh. Other than that I think it's a great idea so let us know how it rides/gear changes.

Re: AC vs DC stators and electronic kits.
Glad that's also explained why AC was the original choice. But ever since the DC conversion was posted I've converted all mine to Wasell DC on both Lambretta and Vespa with dry battery. And seen the benefits.

Re: AC vs DC stators and electronic kits.
I keep wondering that as well, ie what are the pros and cons between AC and DC, considering that most of the Lambrettas were basically ACSo why do they make AC stators. There must be an advantage somewhere?
