Re: Front Brake is fecking shite

not sure, but i think it says on the lcgb web site that reverse pull,is only suitable for the cable operated disc brake,if you do it on the drum set up, it can cause the shoes to jam and lock up the front wheel, definetly saw it some where,as was going to use it on mine, proceed with caution, cheers all.

Re: RAPIDO 225: which Wiseco piston and conrod?

the ts 250 has a 18mm pin,you can either machine up some bushes,or ideally use the ape rod which has the 18mm little end, also is 110mm long and i think jims said in a previous post there is a 3mm difference in deck height on the pistons so should go straight in,not sure how it will affect the port t...

Re: Holed piston ?

speaking to one of my mates earlier, and he reckons you can get double width jubilee clips from chiselspeed,he reckons these are a lot better than the standard type,as these can start to force the carb out of the rubber, especially if overtightened, will get some and try them, cheers all.

Re: Holed piston ?

I holed mine on a ts1 doing about 50mph, I had slowed down from 65 after a sieze but carried on, it didn't feel right and I should've checked a few things before setting off again. On inspection the carb was loose and the cylinder head bolt that the cowling bolts to was loose, an air leak was the a...

Re: Stiff crank

if new seals have been fitted, when turning the crank by hand it will feel stiff, and if turning by using the conrod will feel very stiff.as long as the resistance to turning the crank is uniform throughout its 360 deg travel,it will be ok,if it tightens up in certain spots you have a problem,it will ...

Re: rapido 250 what set up ?

hi,got my kit off a mate, but if you look at af's web site i think the the 250 only comes in the race version,as for the torque figures,i think my choice of pipe is the culprit, general opinion is the 250 suits a jl3, taffspeed pipe so will eventually swop to a jl3,probaly at a loss of several bhp at ...
