Use a chain guide tab washer.Cut it in half,drill the hole to m7,place over the stud,bend the cut part over the manifold and tighten the exhaust nut,then bend the tab against the nut.Do the same with the other one.

How do you know this ? Surely when built up the cluster and most of the loose gears are hidden behind the endplate.
