Re: Proposed engine build musings
Oh that's interesting to know, lower inlet is also something I've considered after reading the MB site, and I'm glad you're finding the higher exhaust timing to be manageable, as I've always aimed for 125/180 on my vespas, with good results. Maybe I could go a tad higher with the exhaust and lower w...

Re: Proposed engine build musings
Whoops, my mistake, that's supposed to say 62mm. Scooter Restorations have a 62mm tv175 piston made by Diamond with 1.5mm chrome rings.
That's the piston I was planning on using
Sorry for any confusion

Re: The Single Most Important Tuning Benefit
My current project lambretta Cutdown is having NOTHING on it that isn't necessary for this very reason.
I'm thinking super light bike, me (11st), 15bhp and a 5speed box should be enough for some fun with the ts1 and rb boys (fingers crossed)

Headset question
Hi guys, Just got my first lammy in years, after many p-range vespas. Came with a bare GP dropped headset- Indian i assume as the clutch lever housing is quite thick. This was disassembled when I bought it and came with a new internals set (rods, bushes, roll pins etc) but I'm having some grief figu...

Re: RZ Mk2 RH Exhaust fitment
I haven't, but I replaced my rz rh this year after numerous cracks with a tsr revolver. The RZ was a genuine JL in mild steel which fit and performed very well The revolver is a clear knockoff of the JL in stainless, and once fettled slightly it fit just as well as the Jl. The performance is very cl...
