My old RB22 pulled an sx200 gearbox very well. An option?

Re: Tourer rb20 engine
I think the RB20 uses a 116 rod as standard so I'm not sure there's much scope for adjustment.

Re: Imola : Loss of compression
Surely when the piston is travelling up the cylinder to compress the mixture once the transfers and exhaust port are closed the condition of the seals would be irelevant? I'd be checking the head gasket, head, rings and piston clearance. Leak test can't do any harm though. Sent from my iPhone using ...

Re: PE ignition conversion MB?
the stator is just a normal lambretta one so should work with any sil electronic flywheel, always check your timing though!

Re: PE ignition conversion MB?
MB and beedspeed used to do these. You sent in your vespa and lambretta flywheels and stators and got back a lightened vespa flywheel on a lambretta boss and modified stator.
Just as reliable as a standard PX ignition set up. The flywheel is very light though and might not help low down torque.

Re: coil help please !
If its an LML CDI and separate coil i would leave it alone as long as its working ok, they are a pretty reliable set up.
Rule Number one!! If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Re: imola static timing
Mine is set to 17 degrees, it's an early kit but otherwise similar set up to yours.

Re: long stroke crank and con rod
Doesn't fitting a five speed gearbox cure the peaky TS1 problems?
But 60/110 would be my choice for the cubic capacity and transfer timing options.
