Re: Egt vs cht

Koso do an AC to DC converter for less than £20 which I hid under the hornstem to power a Stage 6 egt. An EGT will register far quicker than CHT gauge.

Re: carb adjustment

Try the 264 with needle on bottom clip and hopefully it will splutter, then move the clip up a notch at a time until it runs clean. All the 25 mm carbs I've fitted have needed idle jets in the 40's range.

Re: Leaking franspeed tourer

Realistically if your end can is leaking oil then you are either running too rich, too much oil or not riding hard enough :D

Re: Drive side sliding dog.

It sounds to me that the top cap wasn't fitted correctly or the drive bolt was loose for the rubbing to show on the side case. It won't cost the earth to replace all the parts from Restorations or AF then you know all is good.

Re: small end bearing

I use Koyo ones at 22.5 wide,so 16x20x22.5 but measure the piston first and allow 0.5 clearance.

Re: Lambretta J50 Deluxe with Jollymoto pipe

Could you fit spacers under the mag bracket to move the pipe out? How is the pipe fastened to the bracket?
