Where is the inlet port? the inlet on the rotax is a disc valve crankcase induction, i am going to do reed valve induction into the crankcase, i was hoping to use rb reeds as they are compact and easy to get spares for, i might want a scrap rb barrel to cut up to make the inlet, head has just arriv...

hi folks, i bought an engine casing from a well known auction site last year which had been converted to use a motorcycle style barrel which i was told was rotax. after much searching ive not been able to find the cylinder that fits. i suspect it was an old air cooled version, and i want liquid cool...

what type of bulbs are in your spotlamps, it may be possible to convert them to leds which will consume a lot less amps and will not drain the battery flat. they are used a lot on boats to save power, other option would be bigger battery, or two batteries, i fitted my battery in one of the oil bottl...

i think that the rb kit is best suited to an expansion exhaust, a box type exhaust will not allow the kit to rev and produce the power it is designed for, i think it could also lead to overheating as the exhaust gases will struggle to escape, maybe a 48mm vw clubman exhaust might work, they are very...

if your thinking of using a gp200 gearbox, i would suggest paying just a bit more and buying af rayspeeds close ratio gearbox, 3rd and 4th gear are the same as gp 200 but the 1st gear is longer than a standard box,so second is a perfect ratio between 1 and 3 so you dont drop out of the powerband whe...

cylinder arrived yesterday, its nos rotax 580 as fitted to planes, snowmobiles ant jet skis, this cylinder is the jet ski version, it has an extra water feed next to the exhaust port, which i will use to feed the coolant from the water pump. http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r500/holty1966/rotax%2...
