Engine rebuild part 2. Can't get idle set
Just put my newly rebuilt engine in a scooter and all looks and sound good. It's an early jet200 engine with a new SIL200 top end with a AF clubman. Carb is delorto 26mm jetted as follows without any filter 52 pilot 108 main Av266 X7 3rd clip Air screw 1.5 turns I can't get it to idle, it just dies....

My recently restored GP 125 is as close to original as I could get it (without being overly anoraky)
Original barrel and piston and exhaust. It sounds and rides great. I've got 2 other kitted scooters but for local riding with mates the GP is my choice

Firstly, thanks for all your help/input and suggestions chaps.... Feeling a bit more optimistic now. I bought a new retaining plate from MB and its about 0.7mm thinner that the aftermarket steel plate I bought to replace the original aluminium one. (wish I'd kept the old one now, but there you go) A...

Thanks chaps been checking more stuff...... I think the bearing is seated correctly but,,,,,, When I put just the retaining plate on without any oil seal or halite washer and pull the crank through fully without the shim it locks solid against the plate. Plate is 5mm thick and the shim is 0.9mm. Doe...

That fuel consumption is impressive, about same distance for me but about 20 litres I reckon. S2 with muggy 198 kit and tsr evo, thinking of playing with gearing again currently Li 150 with 16 46. Really struggled to keep in the power coming home into the wind and had to keep dropping into 3rd gear....
