Re: Detonation, lean seizure, or....?

Hi Garry,

No idea as it soft seized and the dyno rotated the engine over a few times. It kicked over after the fact but with obvious diminished cylinder pressure. Not sure where in the stroke it seized.

Detonation, lean seizure, or....?

So after a relatively anti-climactic dyno session this morning, I'm left with the following parts to ponder... https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4530/24156153767_3f15f46f58_z.jpg IMG_6137 by PotvinV8 , on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4564/24156154057_69c75b9cc9_k.jpg IMG_6138 by PotvinV8 , on ...

Re: Cubes, cubes, I want more cubes!!!

Darrell, What are the rod specs (length, weight)? And piston weight? I never weighed my 125mm rod or 76 mm piston. Just wondering so that I might have a baseline comparison if it ever becomes an issue. Thanks! Its a development spec so not available ,not an answer but didnt want u thinking i was ig...

Re: Cubes, cubes, I want more cubes!!!

I want to see the box of parts that 380cc setup will destroy! Should be lots of fun when you get to that point. Rich, I'm surprised the BMEPs are that low. I was thinking more like something in the neighborhood of 150psi (10 bar) or so on a decent two stroke engine. In doing four stroke stuff, a BME...

Re: Rotax 300 builld

Got a dyno date penciled in for Tuesday and will be spending the next day or so in preparation. Should be interesting to see what it makes. I know there are a few things I'm a bit pessimistic about, so it should be intriguing to see if those things have any effect on the final numbers. Let's just ho...

Dyno Day Advice- 300cc Rotax bike

Looks like I've finally sorted out a dyno to run the liquid cooled 300cc Rotax engined bike. Have never run a scooter on the dyno before, so thought I'd throw it to you guys to see if you had any advice to make for a better experience/smoother testing. Just trying to think of everything so we don't ...
