Re: Headset Control Roll Pins Help Needed

Mine tapped in nice and snugly, however after a few hundred miles the throttle one worked its way out, I used a machine screw and nyloc instead, no problem since.

Re: Lambretta electrics

The white lead that is broken goes to the headlamp adjuster, as said its a crap earth, put a crimp tag on the end and clamp to one of the screws that hold the rod clamps down.

Re: CYCLONE GEARBOX – BATCH 2 RECALL

When I read this recall announcement my thought was, if only my customers in the 'real world of business' would accept this if I made a mistake, they are being expected to, drain gearbox, strip and remove gears, and repeat process, only in the scootering world. Bearing in mind the cost if these kits...

Re: REGISTERING A SCOOT

From what I can see it seems way too easy to clone scooters, there seems to be regular frames on eBay with no numbers, even with a number buyers wouldn't know until registration time after many months of hard work restoring that it was a clone. My first scoot was a pk 50, first electric start in wes...

Re: REGISTERING A SCOOT

It's £55 for an import for registering, plus tax if its under a certain age. I am in the middle of trying to register a 64 li special, bought it from a well known dealer who imported it from Italy, i had to certify on a separate tax form that vat had been paid by the importer :( , then i had to tak...

Re: Running in tips

I remember picking up a brand new vespa in 83 from shop, running in was never mentioned, if he had I would have ignored it anyway, teenagers seem to do that :) , pushed it out of shop and around corner, started it up and taught myself to ride, ten minuites later I was an expert, then straight into r...

Re: Scoot rs hite

I recently recieved some parts from them and have to say the quality was at least as good as the italian stuff I have bought, some of the stuff was better, ignition, seat frame and panels particularly. Have to also mention that as there was a damaged part the communication and service was excellent,...
