If getting a crank rebuilt, I have in the past put a radius on the inside of the oilways on Yam rods as it helps stress relieve the bearing. There use to be an add on available for the Vespas ac system, which was used by some to power there radios which some fitted to the scooters with speakers bolted to the leg shield toolbox door. Wouldn't one of these gizmos do the job if you could get one? Anyone know who supplied them and what they ...

I recently Dyno-ed my old TV175 it's got a taffy road pipe fitted to a Standard TS1 running on a 32mm VHSA Indian head skimmed and reprofiled compression ratio is close to 8.9-1. The Port timings and areas are totally standard just blended with a yam reed block flowed, and fitted with two stage Boys...

Fit the footboards and panels before you drill anything because if you set the legshields too far back then nothing lines up.......... I know from previous experience

Yes you will need to re-profile the head if switching from An asso piston to a yamaha IT but if you already use a Yamaha DT piston the profile should be OK.
