There are companies about who sell 185 heads already made, We just put one on a friends 190 kit and after 200 miles is functioning OK, obviously one specifically profiled for your piston would be better but its a load more hassle to get done / do.
I think we got ours from Cam Lam.

Re: Suzuki 190 set up ?
I have a 1991 Suzuki 190 kit. I bought a scooter and the kit was fitted and the receipt for it was in the glove box! I stripped it and it all looked like it had little use, the ports had been tidied up nicely and opened up a bit and the head reprofiled. I put it all back together, set the squish etc...

Re: DIy cheap thumb choke conversion
Thought so, we used to fit them to 2 stroke MX bikes for the long straights in beach races.
I just hold it flat out and press the kill button on the lamby if I think it needs cooling off a bit!
I can see its a good idea,

Re: Front dampers
I restored my series 2 16 years ago and still use it more than any other. I've had scooters with and without dampers since. I cant really tell, never mind spending 200 quid on something. My mate had borrowed a set of those fancy ones to try and said they made front feel harder, is that always a good...

Re: Eccentric engine bolt cones?
What I just did, if you stick your iPhone into the gap you can see the slots in the cones as they go round when the shaft turns. I bottomed the nut on one end of the shaft then I turned it until one of the cones was in right place. Then I slid another shaft in from other end and luckily it turned th...

Eccentric engine bolt cones?
How do you stop them spinning round? Just put my motor in and started to tighten bolts and noticed engine moving on the mounts. Come up with a few ideas? Superglue might work long enough to grip them in place until you finally tighten them in and then the combination of taper and compression holds t...
