I think they handle great. Two things that made massive improvements for me:
1. Changing old standard springs to progressive
2. Ditching the single saddle for a TSR seat, you can actually feel your suspension move rather than the seat bouncing up & down!

Re: Tubeless Puncture Repair
I spoke to a regular biker here at work, asking him what happens in his world and he simply showed me his RAC card. A can of tyre fix is probably another decent get-you-home option, I think it's quite common now for cars to be supplied with that instead of a spare wheel. I hadn't considered a valve ...

Tubeless Puncture Repair
Does anyone have any advice or experience with puncture repair on tubeless wheels, especially how it went at the side of the road? I see SCK advertise a repair kit, are they worth it? http://www.scooter-center.com/en/product/BGM8803/Tyre+repair+set+UNIVERSAL+for+tubeless+tyres?meta=BGM8803*scd_ALL_e...

Re: External Pick Up
You're just moving the trigger to the outside of the flywheel, replacing the red lead on your CDI, or use a switch so you can select which red-wire input is active on the CDI (maybe for different timing options or fall-back).

Re: Standard everything except
I have my GT240 (should be 20bhp+) on standard brakes and I'd say it's reasonable for normal use but my feeling is that if I needed to stop quick or got in some kind of trouble I'd probably find them insufficient. The only deviation I have from 100% standard is a jockeys boxenstop thing on the rear ...

It's definitely not the kickstart, probably over 1,000 miles on it now.

Re: rattling on tickover
Here's a recording of my 1st start on my GT240, I get a bit of a rattle as the revs come down (around 1 minute in you'll perhaps hear it), is it like that? 1 year on it hasn't changed & no problems so far.

Re: Name change- British Lambretta Owners Association Club
Perhaps some form of external mediation would help? I think ACAS is for employment disputes only, but there are other services out there. Forums are like email, it's not a good medium to hold an argument; they'll run for ever more and no one will win. To my mind the interested parties need to discus...

Re: Which engine?
I love my GT240 big block, but I'd be very interested to try the new quattrini on a small block.

AF 5 Speed Fitting Question
For those of you who have fitted the AF 5 speed boxes, did you need a selection of shims to get it right?
Thinking of buying one, but didn't want to have everything pulled apart to only find I haven't got the right bits.
Thanks,
George.
