Re: S-Type Lambrettas
I don't get the whole 'S-type' fad and why anyone would want to spend money on customising a scooter that looks like so many others. Personally I don't particularly like the theme but as far as 'authenticity' goes I'd say the Arthur Francis built machines are the only 'Authentic S-Types' The rest ar...

Re: TV175 bored to 200cc's (66mm piston)
Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember that the Suzuki 185 (TS185) conversion needing to use a packing plate when used with a TV 116mm rod? From the MB Tech site - thanks to MB for an excellent resource "175 – 190 Suzuki/MB Race-Tour conversion 175 cylinders bored to 190cc using a Japa...

Re: Trilambretta
I think I asked this question before the forum moved onto the new server ...... Whatever happened to that guy who wanted to build a trilambretta to break a world record a few years back? Was it Mister David or something like that? I seem to recall he started to get a load of abuse, can't remember th...

Re: Tuning options cast gp175?
If you're localish to JB then I'd be tempted to take it along to them or at least give them a call to see if they have any record of the work they did. You would then hopefully have any idea of what options you have. No reason why you can't still have an old school Suzuki 190 conversion with a short...

Re: Does RD350 piston fit Indian 185kit?
Unless you need to rebore the cyclinder then you should go for the standard size of 64mm. I was under the impression that you coud fit one without having to shorten the cyclinder but in another thread a guy who has used one in a similar set up had the barrel 'top & tailed' Richard Taylor hopeful...

Re: porting steel barrel
If you're interested I can take the measurements from the port map I made of my SR190 barrel which has been tuned by Harry Barlow to suit a Suzuki TS185 piston and TV175 length con rod.
