yes, that's exactly what I mean.....
thought it strange that the gear cluster mullered the bearing in the housing... so maybe that's the issue..
also, on closer inspection, one of the gear teeth is chipped...

did the hub up, problem still there, it all worked fine before, although I do know that the endplate is not original to the scooter...

My Sx gearbox is starting to annoy me..... the gear cluster mullered the bearing in the casing, so I had to strip the whole thing down and clean all the bits out.... Well, today i fitted the headlight to my jet.. I guess the worst part was trying to bend the tabs to take the sqare nut that the side screws go into... ended up just bending one side of each tab as was worried i'd do some damage to the fitting ring... it would be far better if these came pre-formed ...
