Re: improving the rear brake on a indian gp 200 block

On mine i use a SIL hub, Ferodo brake shoes and a threaded brake cable. The rear brake should work then. I have had a lot of trouble over the years with this issue and i think its about fifty percent a cable problem and the other fifty percent mis match of shoes/hub. Spares aren't made as well as th...

Re: rb225 port map ? Pleeeessee

I dropped My RB kit when i first got it and bent the spigot, but after i'd stopped screaming and crying i got out the dremel and got my mate (my hands were still shaking from dropping it) to remove the bent bit of the spigot. We did this progressively so as not to take more than we needed away. Its ...

Re: rb 225 or 250 your Opinion

yeah but that pinasco issue could be down to dodgy cast material, crap pistons or simply too tight a bore clearance. Sean, mugello is that exposed or enclosed? Mugello are enclosed. I seem to remember reading somewhere of people using a grinder to open the polini 208 stud channels up between the fi...

Re: RB kits-any high mileages?

I have 2500 kilometers on mine, so far i have gone through one six plate clutch, had one expansion break, another crack at the stub and one head gasket problem, but the kit is still in good condition and working fine. Pulls SX200 gears into the wind in fourth gear. Needs more maintainance that a sta...

Re: Tino saachi belt drive system.

I'm trying to get a scan of the picture i have of it. It seems to run the original endplate, also runs in oil although it doesn't specify which type. It seems to use a saachi type clutch with a new crown wheel and it is tensioned from above by a car type distribution belt tensioner roller. it will b...

Tino saachi belt drive system.

A mate of mine has just come back from Italy and told me that apart from a totally new design of Mugello kit, Tino has also been working on a Belt drive system for the Lambretta primary drive. This is about to be released and apparently can handle up to 40bhp with less transmission loss. i presume t...

Or if you are flush then the MB alpha has been a revelation to me! silky smooth and super reliable at prolonged high RPM.

Re: all season.....tyres...again!!

Conti zippy 1's! excellent grip wet or dry, but they grip so well that they wear fast. A price worth paying IMHO. I'm trying out a schwalbe raceman at the moment too but it doesn't give me the same confidence in the wet.

Re: F A Italia Hubs

I've seen two of these hubs recently where the steel braking surface had grooves worn into it after less than 500 miles. Obviously not using hardened steel, or any steel for that matter!!

SHITE!!! IMHO.
