Re: vespa head leaking
See theres not all that much compression there to be honest, even after a rebore and new piston..I asked for between 3.5thou and 4thou clearance and I think they overbored it cos theres def a hint of piston slap..anyways th scooter has been nothing but a headache to me..theres always something going...

I flaked my vespa and was the first time of trying as a novice, satin black base coat then blue flake off ebay. Word of warning though after two years ive noticed that the flake on exposed parts has lost most of its colour compared to the blue flake under the panels. I used a binder to put the flake...

Re: vespa clutch problem
Are you using the same clutch cork plates and steels in each clutch you try? If so try changing them cos I fitted new plates in a rebuilt engine last week and had same problem. Measured the plates and steels against another set and they were a few mm thicker which caused this problem.

Re: twin keyway
Ive just had to take one of these (the all alloy type) off a mates scooter cos the bloody head cowling was near to melting point. Fitted a normal px one and its considerably cooler now. My conclusion is that the fins are way to small.
