crude but it works, ive had the bolt come undone and dig into the rear wheel. i use a blob of gasket silicone on the bolt now. it can be scraped off with a screwdriver but keeps the bolt from undoing. i do the sasme on exhaust bolts.

ive got a drt 24/24 carb about to be fitted to a pinasco 225. with the higher flow and particularly the bigger feed hole to the main jet will this effect the jetting?

122 main jet seems about right with an expadsion or 118 wth a standard pipe. start bigger and work down to these.

i dont think mbd can answer your question with a simple answer, i think you will find that you will get a message coded in port timings and blow downs. personaly all i do is make sure the ports are clear of the piston at bdc and if not pack up untill they are then do the squish from there. not very ...

out of curiosity has anyone had a bad reaction to silicon with fuel as i have not.....but i may have just not noticed. what am i looking for? i used it on train drivers petrol tank as the threaded bit was snapping off of the tank and it got him round eurolambretta milan and back. couple of years ago...

so are you saying adam that i cant make a 2mm silicone gasket and use it as a variable squish setting dialed in by the head bolts

i already had a sito plus and found the sip road was similar. i did upjet though out of paranoia. i find the t5 hard to read.

Hylomar Red has been around for decades and sets hard, Hylomar Blue is the non-setting version developed I think for Rolls Royce. Neither are silicones though. I believe silicone was developed as part of the space shuttle development and both Hylomar products have been around longer than that. Hylo...

ive got a taffy too, horses for courses. the taffy is on it now....much more power but drops out on hills two up. sito plus/sip road would pull a sidecar

dunno like, just got a brand new 70 quid sito plus for my T5 172 , great pipe for 2"s up touring, far from extinct. ive replaced a sito plus on my 172 t5 with the sip road and it gives a better power band and much quieter. im not saying sito plus dont work but compared back to back the sip roa...
