Re: Rapido 225 Lack of top end power..Carb set up wrong?

You have a pretty torquey top-end and a decent gear ratio but that JL4 is pretty high-revving and it might add to your problems in 4th. The Fran Race is a good alternative and offers more low-end torque than the JL4 and starts to pull hard by ~5500 rpms. For even more low end pulling power the Fran...

Re: £16,990 for a vespa 90ss

Is it because I'm getting old, boring, and don't understand inflation.... Or is the price tag on a restored vespa 90 ss rather obscene.... Pinch me.... The proof of the pudding is whether that price tag generates a receipt. You can ask what you like but doesn't mean someone is going to give what yo...

Re: Getting an age-related plate query

Yes it is but you'll probably need a dating certificate from an authorised source despite what it says in the current V5.

Usually costs around a tenner from VMSC or a the Zundapp club (I'm sure there is one).

If you send a turd to the DVLA you need a certificate to say it's yours.... ;)

Re: Courier or Post Office/Parcelforce for engine?

I've never had a problem as, up until now, it's always been under the car, and stuff I've sent before this started happening has always got there.

But having experienced it first hand I would never trust them to deliver again - particularly if it was something I had sold to someone else.

They are well dodgy at the delivery end Tim.

"signed for" = card through letter box marked "Parcel under the car"!

Several times.

Re: Nova

When you submit your application online and it's successful you get the option to print out the page and "hey presto", there's your certificate.
