Its a fair reflection of the costs involved but I'd still struggle to justify spending the money. As for the more exotic engines, you could probably more than double that. I could sell all three of my scooters and still not have enough.

Re: EU, in or out?
The heart says out. The EU has grown from a trade agreement into a country called Europe. It has an insatiable appetite for power and those that run it won't rest until it has the sort of institutions and power currently only associated with nation states. It's elites have dithered and failed comple...

Re: New british made engine case

Re: CHUCKS SCOOTER STOLEN !
From the SULK site. ".....a note with its whereabouts delivered through a door of an London Lambretta Club member at 2am this morning."
How exactly would a thief know the address of a Lambretta club member if he wasn't a local scooterist?

Re: CHUCKS SCOOTER STOLEN !
He's got it back but it's been totally dismantled and partially sand blasted. That wasn't done in someone's shed. Who gets scooter body parts blasted while they wait? Makes you wonder who did the work and how much they knew.

Re: Scooter security
If a professional thief wants your bike its gone. That's that. If they've gone to the trouble of breaking into a garage then you're probably screwed without a massive chain and a ground anchor concreted into the floor and even that's only as strong as the bit of bike you've looped it through. The be...

Re: Engine dying - what to check?
I'd agree on the likely electrical problem. Stopping for no apparent reason and then magically working again is usually either a wire with iffy insulation, a bad joint, a bad earth or a component failing as it gets warm and then working again as it cools down again. My Lambretta did it for a while. ...

Re: Carole Nash....taking the p155....
The six wheel policy (or 14 wheel in my case!) is such a good deal that I'm very loathe to change it. If they take the p!ss too much though I'll bite the bullet and move.
