sx200/tv175 is probably not the best box to use tbh, gears too far apart, tho with yr port timings ive never had a problem with simmiler cast iron tuned barrels but with 15/46, i found it much better with a pacemaker box with 17/46 cheers ive got a pacemaker box,may give it a go but while engine on...

mugello 225 port timing help????

i have latest version muggy 225, 60mm mec crank and port timings are ex:182 transfers :127 and inlet:164 and squish 1.2mm. left packer plate out to get squish right. sterling pipe and sx200 box with 15/47 and oko30mm carb.timing set at 19 degrees... had it dyno'd yesterday and showed 15.9 bhp @ 7000...

Thanks for the tips folks. After some process of elimination I'm back where I started. Fuel issue. Although I did find my top hat being slightly faulty so I changed to the rubber red NGK one instead. cheers again for all the info, i rode scoot to buxton rally at weekend and its boggy mid range and deffo to rich on pilot jet so will find some time soon and sort float height and the maybe try a vac type fuel pump then will report back thanx guys. ps am i right that the mixture screw on these carbs...

cheers for all the info guys, im starting to think maybe storkfoot has a point about fuel pump?? is there a better carb i should look for that is easy to set up?? ive tried a 28phbh but low end throttle is impossible to clean up on them dellys. buy the way wot is the correct method for setting the f...

regulator is not an issue as only runs power out to lights,but to be sure plug out the yellow wire from stator to reg while testing, as for the cdi substitution is the only test.same for ht lead and cap. but ive never had a cdi fail yet, its usually the stator

best thing to do is process of elimination on electrics,first plug out the green cut out wire from the coil at rear of scoot ,leaving just the green/red and white wires from the stator plate plugged into the coil, try running engine see if any better,if so then problem in wiring to ignition/cutout s...
