Re: One for the Electrical Gurus
Guys Not sure that I understand this correctly but it's not normally a height problem with the LT coil and the laminates it's more physically getting the bobbin to fit over the laminate stack. Remove just enough plates to get it on a bend the last one up to hold it on. The pickup height can be measu...

Re: Tyre removal vice
Pull the rims apart and put a socket over the 4 studs to hold the rim apart then clamp it in the vice or workmate. Start away from the valve as with new stiff sidewall tyres the valve is often hard up against the inside of the caseing, you can pull the tube out first to save nipping it.

Re: WAGO electrical connections - part numbers?
Do a search on eBay they tend to come on 2-3-5. I use the orange flip lever ones as they can be disconnected and reused. Some are push in stay in

Re: Indicator switches.
The series 1 -2 switch is similar to the series 3 but its rotary, I cannot remember how I did it but use the central point as supply and point it via the spring loaded ball bearing at the left or right. Never had a problem with it but yes you need to drill out the hollow rivets and reassemble. a bit...

Re: Indicator switches.
The series 1-2 switch is an easy mod once you go to an ignition switch for lights. Easy to use even with winter gloves. I tried a 2 button with a cancel button that worked but was a pain with gloves going round a rounderbout going from one to the other. I wouldn't go back to arm signals most think ...

Re: sip speedo gear ratio setting??? getting speedo right
I'm using an Acewell but the sensor is the same type. I made a bracket that is bolted onto the hub using the axel shaft. It holds the sensor pointing at the magnate that fitted in the hub grease nipple hole. The distance stays constant as they move together. I used an old stainless steel bridge that...

Re: Running rear brake light from a battery?
Then you would be powering all the electrics via the battery. Most regulators have only a trickle charge facility and won't put enough power in the battery to run all the lights, the battery would flatten, leaving you with no lights. This is why a "Wassell" regulator/rectifier is used as t...
