Re: Giving me the right hump!!

Have you got a tye rap high enough on the fork tube to hold the cables in position so that the gear outers can't come out of their correct position on the headset clamp? You need to make sure they are right up against their stops in the headset clamp and stay there. Set your gear cables up as per St...

PWK/OKO JJL needle required urgently

anyone know where I can get one within the next week? Running a JJK at the moment top clip (leanest setting) and she's spluttering/missing/four stroking up to half throttle, then clears nicely as I open the throttle more.

Re: GP Flywheel

I'd try a small terminal screwdriver and small hammer to tap it anticlockwise. I wouldn't imagine that you did it up that tight and it should start working loose.

Re: No spark

Whipped flywheel off and the points contact had snapped off where the retaining rivet went through it. It was stuck to one of the flywheel magnets. The spark from the LT had me fooled for a while. New points in and she started second kick. ;) :D :D

Re: No spark

Still on points, I'm afraid  Gonna double check it this morning and stick a new earth twixt coil and frame, instead of relying on the bolt through the E piece as the earth. The spark from the LT to earth was very good, but the spark from the HT lead to earth was very weak, and that was obvious...

Had a lovely ride out today 70+ miles, she's running sweet all the way and on the way back stopped for a well deserved pint. Country pub was shut so jumped back on and got about 50 yards and she bogged and died Checked fuel and tried to see if I had a spark, but its difficult in daylight with old ey...

Re: Gearbox endplate.

As far as the xmas tree/cluster is concerned, it gets pulled up away from the casing when the main sprocket/clutch is all fitted and tightened up by the large tab washer and nut, so shouldn't be a problem. You have fitted the shim underneath the cluster? And the track in the casing does have a shim ...

Cylinder Head Cowl

Can I remove it after removing the rear shocker and bump stop and spark plug with a Scoot RS expansion exhaust fitted, without having to remove the exhaust? It will save me grief if someone more knowledgeable can advise beforehand. Need to fettle it cus it rattles like a good 'un
