Re: GT big block experiance : New GT crank info added
Since the GT manual suggest a B7 ngk. I winder, how's that b9 looking? b7 was hot b8 was ok; b9 was better ridden at full throttle I was running a B8 but changed to a B7 for local riding as the B8 was sooting up a little with the intention of putting the B8 in for long runs. Just back from Mersea h...

Re: In line spare wheel carrier
I got an inline carrier that pivots from Tim Mason, no need for a recessed toolbox door, might be worth contacting him to see if he has managed to get his hands on any more? You can contact him via the LCGB forum

Re: keep cracking carb connecting rubbers, why?
Over tightening can cause them to split, running an MB rubber on one of mine and it's been on there for 5 years now without any issues

Re: Scooterotica crankshaft ....... Sean? Dan?
easier than grinding crank webs imo, Yanker you forgot to mention rear foot boards :P And maybe even a longer HT lead? But surely You would not have to do that grinding buisiness? R Taylor/GT crank, hold the 'Paxo' please? :P That's what I'm waiting on to start my GT186 build, due in next month I b...

Re: Which tyre???
I doubt you will get many people recommending the Schwalbe these days as plenty of reported problems with them delaminating...although I ran them for a while without any issues as have others. So maybe the Sava are your best bet? Couldn't agree with you more about the Continental whitewalls, avoid i...

Re: Which Kit??
Can't comment on the RT kit other than I know of 3 people who fitted them and no longer have them. Run a Muggy 186 in my Series 2 with a 26mm dellorto and ancillotti clubman and it does a good job, very torquey and great to ride around town and will do 60mph all day long with a bit more on top for o...

Re: Gt186 carb and exhaust
I'm running a BGM clubman on my GT200 which does the job nicely, will happily sit at 65 all day long with a bit left for overtaking. Am about to get a GT186 for my Eibar (just waiting for the GT cranks to arrive) and will be running this with a Franspeed Race, so will be interesting to see what the ...

Re: Which Kit??
End of the day which kit is down to how you ride, you wouldn't buy an Imola kit when all you really do is ride around town and the occasional ride out, and if you want a fast tourer/rally going scoot then you wouldn't look at the Casa. If you want a decent all rounder then for me it is between 3 kit...

Where abouts are you located? Chris Sadd at CS Engineering in Norwich is highly recommended, worth giving him a call if it's not too far from you
