BGM Clubman - version 3

Morning Two questions

1/ Can you leave them bare metal without painting.

2/ I hear on the grapevine there are internal overheating issues reported and is anyone aware of the modifications people are making to (so i'm told) increase the tailpipe sizing, maybe new tailpipe

Thanks

Re: Avanti bogging down

Only a thought.......as i have run an Avanti for 6 years regularly now with not one issue from the kit, BUT i did have a succession of 'off the line' bogging down problems away from the lights which turned out on all 'Three Occasions' (can't believe my luck) to be petrol burning it's way through the...

Re: How tight should chain be?

Hi Warts, is it advantageous to still include a lower guide ? I was thinking of the lower 'Green' slipper rather than the original innocenti one to potentially stop any slap against the base of the engine casing. One thing that strikes me is the X4 has an aluminium block into the case below where th...

Re: How tight should chain be?

Tightness is only an issue where there is no tensioner. So although correct the 2-3% rule is for motorcycles. The one in the picture will work fine, in fact it is good. There is a catena effect on chain chain and the standard Lambretta tensioners work against it, the one shown works with it. Andy A...

Re: Leak Down Test

Cheers...........i gave up today, it can be deflating (excuse the pun). i will strip out the stator next and test the mag flange better. Re: Anyone Dyno'ed SH2/22 with BGM High-Flow?

Adam, This is not completely relevant i know, but i had a Dave Webster stage 4 steel barrel where i upjetted the standard Delly 22 to a 128 and then 130 main jet, completely removing the air filter and it really flew along as opposed to when i left the paper filter in the bow. I was going to try the...

Re: Leak Down Test

Cheers both..........Garry thanks for confirming the 5 PSI......incidentally it drops off within a minute and bottoms out to 40 mmhg. Just changed the silent blocks on the engine case (another story, the engine bolt not greased and split rubbers on other silent blocks getting it out). I will now whi...
