Re: Dragging clutch / weird scraping / petrol in gearbox oil
Yeah i would hope so fella!! As for causing dragging etc by the sounds of it your old clutch had been through the wars so to speak lol. It wouldn't have helped but not the sole cause methinks! Cruciform was a bit rounded too :) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8018/7516840332_3a194a2654_b.jpg

Re: Dragging clutch / weird scraping / petrol in gearbox oil
Might stick with the polini as it was working fine before the clutch problems I've stripped it down and split the case but found quite a few brass shards and flakes around. There's some in the clutch side oil seal and bearing, a huge bit was stuck in the kickstart spring. Could it be off this ? http...

Re: Dragging clutch / weird scraping / petrol in gearbox oil
It's a polini barrel, piston and modified head with beedspeed written on it
Are these any good ? I need it to be reliable, not bothered about going fast

Re: Dragging clutch / weird scraping / petrol in gearbox oil
Just started stripping the engine and box down. The clutch was a 6 spring one and the pressure plate had a groove worn in it. The brass push has got a chunk out of it and theres bits of brass in the clutch cover :( The new clutch is a 7 spring complete one from beedspeed. Do I need to soak the compl...
