Fuel,correct me if i'm wrong, 1-unleaded burns hotter than the old 4 star, (googled it) 2-you need alot more heat to burn oil (2 stroke oil is oil) chuck some on a fire or poor some on the ground and chuck a match in it and see if it burns straight away. 3-you get less miles to the gallon on unleade...

I think the answer is in the titlle, isn't that what turbovan is doing when he works on a jetex, you try bolting any ph,mikuni carb on a lambretta and you have to set it up, friend of mine has got a tub full needles and jets for ph carbs which he has had to buy try to set up ph carbs, he has now gon...

ok whatever,everyone to there own, i'll stick with the jetex till it goes wrong then try a PHBH but i expect that will make a bigger splash.

Got to agree with Donnie, the jetex i run goes well even without changing the jets, you say jetex are crap, have a look on carb set ups on this forum to see who's having the most problems after they have binned the jetex, seems to me it's just luck with any carb.

Thanks for the reply,not to worry only had to take a few thou (old English measurement)job done, not having a go at you but it seems every remade thing you buy for a Lambretta has to be adjusted to fit,as for the valves, tried my home compreesor gauge, it just fits and i had some valve extenders wit...
