Re: Tank cleaning.

Ideally you need to find somewhere with a large ultrasonic cleaning bath but you could try a pressure washer or steam cleaner, Careful with cleaning solvents make sure they are not corrosive. I sasw a guy on You Tube clean an old tank by putting a kilo of nuts and bolts inside it and then cable tyin...

Re: Carbon buildup 1980 P200e

AS above, 26k miles is a looong way and it will be well overdue a major service. Modern 2 stroke oil is usually 'low ash' so doesnt carbon up as much as the old mineral oil but you will have no idea what oil has been used in the past and I would expect a significant build up even with modern oils at...

Re: Won’t cold start/choke.

Might be irrelevant but you should always hold the throttle closed when starting from cold, many people make the mistake of wringing the throttle whilst kicking which results in a weak mixture, worht a try.

Re: Carb choice?

28 PHBH would be fine with your clubman but you do need to do something about your gearing, try a 16 toth front sprocket, dyno session is a good idea

Re: Saying Hello

I would go for a GTS, a friend picked up his new Royal Alloy 300 series 2 look a like this week and already the speedo has stopped working and the ABS light is faulty. +1 for the Vespa GTS but go for a low mileage GTS250i about 2007 year as they seem to have the best build and paint quality. The la...

Re: King of the Clubman’s - Lambretta scooter - Taylor Tuned 33hp touring rally exhaust

Given your location, its worth baring in mind that there are highly renowned scooter workshops a LOT closer to home than the one that did your engine. Jarv at Lambretta Rehab in Wymondham gets my unreserverved recommendation and has experience with GT kits and even closer for you is Steve Last in Fe...
