Mikuni TMX35 experts?
Ok: running rich still on the midrange on my Ts1 225 (Jimmers RV with banshee CF reeds, GP200 box, Devtour pipe) Paul Baker ran her on the dyno today and I need to osrt this richness out on midrange (top and tickover are fine): It currently has needle 6EN11-58 is there a leaner needle? Paul thought ...

I suppose it is if the cutdown was never going to be on the road?

Re: The rust is starting on my vespa mudguard!!!
once it starts you can't stop it.
Perhaps ACF50 spray used regularly might slow it down?
I had a t5 type fibreglass mudguard: quite nice but a bitch to keep the same colour as the rest as it fades quite quickly on plastic parts.

yes.
2% mix for the 1st tank, it might smoke a little when it starts also mixing the autolube eventually but it's better than having no small end lubrication until that point!

Re: which grease???
just don't use nickel grease if you want the item to stay done up (ie rear hub nut!) I put some Nevr-seez nickel grease on a vep rear hub nut once: never again: fantastically slippy stuff! great for throttle tubes etc, but it will not seize up! lol Should've guessed really! I use LM30 on pretty much...

Re: anyone want to build me a glovebox?
Cheers chaps. One of the best things about tootling on your lonesome to a rally is 'thinking time'. So: I have a very nice chiselspeed fibreglass box. It isn't big enough for the two gauges I want to fit. I can actually get a westach dual egt/cht gauge so I only have to fit one (esp if I get the new...

anyone want to build me a glovebox?
for a GP. Basically I've bought no less than 3 gloveboxes recently which are not suitable for what I want (bah). (If anyone would like a slimline fibreglass chiselspeed copy of a nannuci complete and ready to fit £90 and a metal PX mark 2 adapted to fit bare metal £80 - both plus post). Anyway wha...

Re: Changing a set of PX Forks
you can do a straight swap in less than an hour! 4-8 hours? wtf!
the YTS boy could do it in less than that and give them a respray in between!
ok: to swap them, attach mudguard, new bearings, swap hub, new cables attach everything and check for free play and tighten maybe 3 hours tops.

Re: MOT Requirements for a Headlight
The key to a successful MOT seems to be more and more: find a sympathetic tester. i.e not a pushover or someone who'll pass anything, but someone, like my tester a old school trials bike champ who knows old bikes sometimes don't have fantastic brakes or lights or indicators that flash perfectly beca...

Re: Long range tank
I've PM'd Diablo so this looks like a go-er I particularly liked the one that has space enough for a full size battery in the front too: My battery is very important as I use it for satnav charging etc (funny how you never see the people that take the p155 out of my satnav at long distance rallies u...
