A "skate" is a term that Pompey civvies used to call matelot's (RN personnel).

Hi southampton saint we are not MUTANTS just HUMANS you tw*t.... Mate, got loads of mates who are skates, at work and scootering no issues there just dont like the ignorant service I got when I have purchased before. Sorry the mutants was a bit harsh. I never send any parcel unless it's signed for....

Late model Lynx models had a spring mechanism deliberately designed to spring the throttle closed. But, Lynxes had indicators. If you read Lammy manuals from the mid sixties, ie before indicators, you'll see they refer to the need for the throttle to bind deliberately. As Chris, says this is so the...

You sure about the year?

Haircuts don't look very 1971 - nor the clothes - not a Levi or Harrington jacket in sight.

Maybe a northern thing but I don't recall any of our lot having those gurt flyscreens and about half of those bikes are GP's.

Was /is Northwich a posh area?

As advised already get it welded it will only get worse.

I used this stuff that lasted for 18 months

Far, far, far cheaper to get them from your local engineering supplies ( once you know what you need).
