If youve had 4 slides in 4 years even with filter could the problem not be with the carb body itself ? This a difficult one i think. If you use bolts then getting the end plate off will be easier and you will have less parts but the downside is unscrewing and screwing into ally more than you might ideally want.

I looked at a video on u-tube with the guy applying to a motor bike, he seemed to think you could wash it and apply polish and it wouldn't affect it or come off?

Answers as follows. This rb seems to eat slides even with a filter, this my 4th slide in about four years. They wear away on the outside edges and at the bottom. Could be needle but im on dq266 top clip from memory. I didnt air test it and i could have easily but i neglected to do it which in hindsi...

Throttle/rev issues
I have just rebuilt an rb engine with new barrel and piston.. Carb completley cleaned wiith all cables just right but when i come off the throttle it doesnt die off straigyt away. Its vhsh 30 set up on rich side. Could this be a worn slide?
