Does the choke introduce more air or fuel, and does it weaken or richen the mixture

I have just built a Malossi 166 engine, it has a new 24si carb which is a copy of the Dellorto The jets in it are not numbered do don't really know any settings At the moment it's really boggy, setting off and running, but if I run it with the choke out its almost there, what does that mean, too ric...

I don't know anything about the engine or in fact if it is a Malossi up gear kit, I just counted the teeth on the gears, what would you advise are my options to make it more rideable

I have just stripped my engine to fit a malossi kit, I will be porting the casings to match. The engine is new to me and on looking at the gerabox config it appears to have a standard p125 gearbox ( i beleive same as T5 ? ) and has a Malossi upgera kit in it 23 x 64. Is the 166 kit very revvy and not very torquey, or is it ok with the siminini pipe
Does the upgear kit help. and if so which one is it

is the DR the best of the kits, i understand the Parmakit and the pinasaco are alloy barrels and the others cast.
