My Saxelby 185 motor ran a thin taper crank for god knows how many thousand miles and would rev its tits off! So not realy that unusual.Made sure the flywheel was light though.And only used semi synthetic.

Spoke with them and they said MB had nothing to do with the design of these and they did it all themselves which they are gonna say but they use them on their road bikes aswell.soulsurfer wrote:They are the type that MB embarked on a few years ago and decided not to persue

Has anyone started using these split tubless rims from Patron racing in Doncaster.Im interested in them and gonna be buying some soon but wondered if anyone else has clocked up any miles on them? At least they are UK based and they seem a decent company who give a s**t unlike some others. I've used...

Ive got indian barrel aswel which is road tuned and is the best kit ive ever had.Still on original Mhale piston and rings since 02 and run open mouth carb.

A good old Suzi 185 conversion is good if you can find one and depends who has done it aswel.In scootering a few months ago,that setup performed well and had a fat power curve and would rev on well.I run one for years done by R.S Tuning and it was kin brilliant and so reliable. If this helps,ive got an iron barrel dyno`d at 115 main (open mouth) AV264,X13 2nd clip,55 pilot.
That was with a PM Tuning pipe and at 19 degrees.
