Re: Fitting Li ramp - need to remove end plate or not?

All those filings in your gearbox and clutch, I wouldn't advise it. Remove, cut, smooth and reshim gearbox. Yeah, I thought about that! Haven't removed one before, a bit nervous tbh, especially as engine has recently been built. I did my first one a couple of months ago. Not difficult, just took my...

Re: Motorcycles

I ride a triumph tiger 1050 and it's the best road bike I've ever had. I prefer it in the same ways as you to my lambretta, but for reasons I can't explain i don't love it like I love my lambretta. I've had a lot more bikes than scooters over the years and the only ones that have ever given me the h...

Re: My born again passion

Ahem, now that's not very polite is it? Seeing as it's barrie's scooter, it's up to him how he dresses it. Oh sorry, you ...

Re: New skid lid time...

And Arai & someone else 'big name, big price' do their own testing... Arai are also the only manufacturer that supply exactly the same helmets to racers as the ones you buy in a shop. Buying anything that scrapes through a minimum standard, on a tight budget, doesn't seem like a smart idea to m...

Re: Run Cancelled and they Wonder Why

Nothing to do with getting a life and its obvious one or two don't grasp the possible outcome of some postings. My own views on Racism/ sexism are my mine and mine alone- there is no-one on here that knows my views and opinions. All I am trying to say, is that there are people and organisations out...

Re: wrong headset?

Have you had to cut a grove in the forks for the pinch bolt at 90 deg to the originals No mate, I didn't. Anyway it's sorted now. It turned out that the edges of the stainless chrome ring I bought off eBay (yes I know) were 'turned up'. I remedied the situation by utilising a striking implement in ...

Re: wrong headset?

Thanks, I've been delving a little deeper and it turns out that series 2 forks are 2mm shorter whic...
