Can you get softer stand springs that don’t clatter the rear runners and are easier to push off the stand? Have you got the return rubber on the side stand leg to stop this happening? 1) available petrol was better back in the 1960's
2) tolerances on engine builds?
TBH back in the day nobody had heard of "squish" and rebuilds didn't take it into any account.
